Throughout each of our lives, we will experience milestone events that will forever be etched into our hearts and minds.
We will all experience the complete unashamed joy and excitement of a Wedding Ceremony, the life-affirming beauty and simplicity of a baby naming ceremony, and the profound feelings of love and gratefulness for a dear life lived, but now lost.
As a Humanist Celebrant, these are just some of life’s momentous occasions where I would be honoured and delighted to work with you to help create a unique, personal, heartfelt and enriched moment in time.

"We were lucky enough to have Nick Allan conduct our wedding ceremony and wanted to say how fantastic he was. Nick was our celebrant for our small but perfectly formed micro wedding.He was friendly, understanding, encouraging, had great ideas and was very receptive to our own ideas. He clearly understood our wish to involve our three adult children in the ceremony, as our marriage was also about the blending of two families, and wasn’t phased by the fact that our two Labradors would be acting as best man/ring bearer and maid of honour. Nick encouraged us to write our own personal vows, which at first a bit daunting - but we are so glad that we did because it meant that what we said was heartfelt and unique to us.
We had a lot of things we wanted to include in our dragon themed ceremony - music, four readings, an Oathing stone, a handfasting, and a glass unity ceremony. Nick managed to weave all these things into a fabulous free flowing ceremony which felt really comfortable and really personal to us. We were thrilled when a few days before the wedding we received the draft ceremony, to find that Nick had even included an extract from The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien, one of our favourite books.
On our wedding day Nick was warm, friendly and reassuring, and great at calming last minute nerves. He looked fantastic and even wore a dragon pin in his jacket to go with our theme - which was a really lovely touch. He directed and helped with the set up of the ceremony venue, making sure that everything needed was readily at hand to make sure everything went smoothly, and that all necessarily legalities were completed.
Our ceremony went beautifully - a really personal close family ceremony - there wasn’t a dry eye the house. We felt confident that Nick was totally in control and that left us free to relax and really enjoy it all.
Nick has a lovely reassuring manner, is clearly a real people person, writes and speaks beautifully, and puts his heart and soul into what he does. We feel really lucky that he was the person who officiated at our wedding and we will be forever grateful to him."
