Humanist Ceremony Venues in Grampian

Aswanley

At Aswanley, we have created an unusual Scottish wedding venue suitable for both sumptuous wedding receptions and intimate family gatherings. The wedding venue consists of the grounds of Aswanley, a sixteenth century fortified house and the impressive restored Victorian barn, known as a ‘steading’ in the local Aberdeenshire dialect.

Balbegno Castle

Balbegno Castle is located in the most perfect spot for a romantic wedding in the countryside. The castle provides a stunning backdrop for the wedding photographs and a surprisingly intimate environment for this special day.

Banchory Lodge Hotel

Banchory Lodge is the perfect romantic wedding venue in Royal Deeside. We can cater for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships in our beautiful function suite overlooking the River Dee. A door leads from the suite out onto our beautifully manicured lawns right by the river and provides the ideal setting for drinks and photographs.

Castle Fraser

Set in open woodland just 16 miles from Aberdeen, the National Trust for Scotland’s Castle Fraser provides an idyllic setting for your wedding. Venture to the top of the Round Tower or across to the beautiful Walled Garden for spectacular photo opportunities. The Great Hall, with its large, open fireplace and high barrel-vaulted ceiling, is bright and spacious, providing a magnificent setting for ceremonies of up to 100 guests, receptions for 70 and evening dances for 90.

Coo Cathedral

Coo Cathedral, a relatively new wedding ceremony and reception venue in Aberdeenshire, situated on the grounds of Aboyne Castle.  This is a truly unique venue that can be made to be anything you want of it.  As its name indicates Coo Cathedral is a former cows barn, which still has many of its original features including the beautiful large wooden beams.
